This was my first appointment with Dr. Capelouto and I was very impressed with his ability to obtain medical history from me and thoughtfully and HELPFULLY comment on my medical history: quite unlike my experience with some other local psychiatrists. I also really liked that he was not eager to immediately change my current medication regimens, and was glad to maintain the medications that have stabilized my condition. Again, this is quite unlike other local psychiatrists, who immediately want to change a patient's long-term medication regimen to show how important THEY are.

My doctor, Dr. David Capelouto, has hit the proverbial nail on the head (perhaps not the best metaphore for a psychiatrist.) He suggested gene testing to eliminate medications I had been taking for years and to prescribe the right ones for my genetic makeup. He has cut the number of meds I take in half, down to just 3. I have not felt this good psychologically in decades. I have only the highest praise for Dr. Capelouto's approach. When I first came to him, I was sleeping every chance I could. Now I am up and active again, very positive outlook. Hail Dr. Capelouto !

Visited the Bush Street location in Raleigh yesterday. The facility is undergoing renovations and appointments are held on the 2nd floor. I was in my battery-powered scooter and accessed the second floor using the elevator. During my session, the building and surrounding areas were hit by an interruption of electrical service. This building does not have a backup generator to power the elevator; I was stuck on the second floor. After waiting for power restoration for over an hour, I attempted to navigate the stairs to the first floor. I cannot speak highly enough of the MindPath staff in their efforts to assist me in descending the stairs. Their support, concern and assistance was very touching and greatly appreciated. Many of the Staff remained after normal business hours to assist me. Wonderful people... wonderful support!!Please express my thanks!

I am very impressed with Dr. Wurzelmann. He had a rapid grasp of my issues. He suggested a creative way to identify a medication that I could tolerate. He explained everything thoroughly. He was quite kind in his questioning .
