About E. Elise Herman, MD

Dr. Elise Herman has been described as dedicated and creative, as she approaches her work with flexibility, empathy and compassion, actively seeking out new opportunities to learn. Named one of three top psychiatrists in Charlotte by peers in Charlotte Magazine’s 2019 Top Doctor, Dr. Herman has earned a number of achievements and leadership certifications on her way to being MindPath Care Centers’ Regional Medical Director of Western North Carolina. As MindPath Care Centers expanded into South Carolina, Dr. Herman also became the Medical Director of South Carolina. he is now a member of the Community Psychiatry Office of the Chief Medical Officer along with Dr. Scott Griffies and Dr. Priyanka.

While in her psychiatry residency, she was nominated for the prestigious George Ginsberg Fellowship Award for demonstrating outstanding competence and dedication, and in 2015 Dr. Herman was promoted as a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She has a B.S. from Point Loma Nazarene University, as well as an MD and a Master’s in Public Health degree in Global Health from Loma Linda University. She also has completed leadership courses including Leveraging Internal Female Talent and working towards her C.P.E. through the American Association of Physician Leaders.

Dr. Herman loves people and their stories, and is passionate about using her medical and psychotherapy training to solve complex problems to help people become the best version of themselves.

Please note that we plan to be open for appointments; however, be aware that power outages may be widespread which may impact telehealth and other appointments. We may not know until the last minute in all of our locations on Tuesday. Please be patient. We will waive missed appointment charges on Tuesday, August 4th in light of complications from the weather.
