MindPath Care Centers Appoints Dave Nelson to Its Board of Directors

DURHAM, N.C. – January 7, 2020 – MindPath Care Centers, North Carolina’s largest outpatient mental and behavioral healthcare provider, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Dave Nelson, Chief Development Officer at the Advanced Urology Institute of Georgia, to its Board of Directors.  The Advanced Urology Institute of Georgia is a center for urologic care that provides patients access to physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers, digital imaging center, lab, pathology and specialized urologic testing all in one facility location.

“I am honored to have been selected to join MindPath Care Centers’ distinguished Board of Directors,” said Dave Nelson.  “The organization is rapidly-growing and setting a new standard for patient-centered mindcare services in North Carolina.  I believe my experience in clinical quality improvement, managed care negotiations, and network management will support the long-term goals of the organization.”

Previously, Mr. Nelson served as the Chief Operating Officer of DermOne and Chief Strategy Officer at ATI Physical Therapy, when Advent International acquired a majority stake in the company from KRG Capital Partners.  Additionally, Nelson served as the Vice President of Northeast Operations for Coram Healthcare where he was accountable for over $275M in annual net revenue and led a team of 650 individuals committed to driving patient-centered excellence.  He was also the Area Vice President for Coram Healthcare where he focused on managed care contract negotiations and network management.

Mr. Nelson co-authored the article, “The Promise of Patient Registries:  Clinical Quality Improvement Beyond Benchmarks,” which focuses on health care in the United States and its push towards patient-centric hospitals, clinics and practices.  He holds a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Allegheny College and an M.B.A. in Healthcare from Baldwin Wallace University.
