About Allison Henning, LCSW, LCAS

A native of Charlotte, Allison Henning has experienced both positive and not so positive experiences in her extensive travel across the U.S. and Western Europe, which, good and bad, inspired her to look at who she wanted to be as a professional. Allison believes results come by consistently supporting an individual’s strengths, helping them achieve a positive sense of self, and assisting them in developing the necessary skills to manage their illnesses through self-efficacy to create a vision of a healthy and happy future.  Her care philosophy is about understanding that addiction and co-occurring exist within a multidimensional social and cognitive world, to achieve the main objective of utilizing programs that integrate individual, family, and community to create a strong foundation for sustained recovery in addiction and/or mental health. Two main factors Allison believes set her apart from colleagues is her use of humor in treatment and flexibility to meet patient’s needs.
