About Angelyn Fanlo, LCMHC

Angelyn Fanlo chose this field because there is a lot of work to do in terms of advocating and normalizing mental health in our community. Because of this, a lot of people are skeptical about reaching out for help because of the stigma associated with mental health and substance abuse. Angelyn is here to advocate for those who need mental health care and provide them with the utmost quality of service to improve their day-to-day functioning. Angelyn is most passionate about guiding clients in making healthier decisions, changing their perspectives, and allowing them to build a set of healthy coping strategies. Coming from a family with different cultural backgrounds, and as an immigrant, Angelyn celebrates diversity and values the backgrounds of other people. She believes that everyone deserves a fair and equal level and service. She is here to help guide you through the most difficult and challenging moments in your life. Angelyn believes the combination of her work as a public health specialist and behavioral health clinician, being immersed in different cultures growing up and having had the opportunity in working both in the public health and mental health fields have allowed her to stay humble and allow herself to continue learning from others’ cultures and how they perceive their world. Angelyn speaks multiple languages, including Tagalog, Hokkien, Castilian Spanish, but she is most comfortable speaking English.
