About Anna Marie Wright, LCMHC
Anna Marie Wright believes in the beauty of growth. We humans are more capable of change than we believe. The challenge is for one to believe in themselves first, before change is attainable. Anna is most passionate about understanding how one’s past experiences, especially those that are traumatic, influence a patient’s behavior, belief system about themselves and their relationships with others, and their response to triggers in the present day. By doing so, she can understand and create a plan with her patient that is individual to them and their experiences. Anna is a true believer that if we are not aware of what truly matters to us then we are not likely living a fulfilled life. Her objective is to provide a space for her patients to explore what matters to them the most, identify practical ways to create room for these values, and to learn the art and beauty of acceptance, self-compassion, and nurturing one’s inner child. Anna believes what differentiates her as a clinician is her ability to be present with patients and see them from the standpoint of an inner child who is just looking for their needs to be met. When looking through this lens, she is able to provide an empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgment space for her patients in which they can learn to nurture and accept themselves fully. She adds humor when appropriate as she believes it can be a helpful tool that leads to acceptance and self-compassion.
