About Ifeanyi Gabriel Ezeh, LPC, Ph.D.
Dr. Ifeanyi Gabriel Ezeh chose a career in mental health to compassionately work with people dealing with mental health and life-altering challenges. He saw firsthand the enormous challenges involved in caring for people dealing with mental illness while he was caring for two friends with Schizophrenia. Dr. Ezeh is most passionate about uplifting his patients, instilling hope in them, thereby deriving fulfillment and job satisfaction for himself. His counseling style is interactive, and solution-focused. He believes that patients have a unique set of life skills that can be tapped into in order to deal with each patient’s current dissatisfaction. He enjoys working with his patients in a respectful and compassionate manner while attending to their goals. Dr. Ezeh works from solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and existential psychology frameworks, but will tailor sessions and treatment to respective client’s needs, goals, and unique culture and state of life. Dr. Ezeh has worked with patients from a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, substance use, adjustment difficulty, identify development, suicidal/self-harm behaviors, relationship issues, religious and spirituality-related issues, aging, chronic pain, and loss. He has successfully worked mostly with teens and adolescents in the last 4 years and has enjoyed working with this population, in different settings – home, shelter, detention, and college.
