About Jay Schnaak,
Jay Schnaak, 2021-2022 MSW Intern, is a non-binary, transperson from the south. They have a warm, earnest style, and aim to create an atmosphere of compassion, non-judgment, and curiosity with each patient. Jay is passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ teens and adults by honoring their self-determination. Jay will work with patients to co-create a trusting, comfortable space for patients to show up authentically and process experiences together. Jay’s therapeutic style is engaged and pragmatic, collaborating to chart out a unique path for each patient to gain self-knowledge and achieve their wellness goals. By engaging in therapy, patients are choosing to pursue a more authentic connection to themselves, to others, and to a more fulfilling life.
