About Kathyeli Hidalgo, LCSW

Kathyeli Hidalgo began her education in nursing but discovered she was more interested in the continuation of care and aiding individuals in mental health. She has family members who served in the military and suffer from PTSD which encouraged her to pursue clinical social work. Kathyeli is most passionate about building relationships with clients and seeing their progression towards meeting their goals. She also has a passion for aiding youth in overcoming adjustment and transition, depression, and anxiety. Kathyeli is passionate about substance abuse counseling as well. Kathyeli’s objective is to help the patient help themselves. She believes in providing clients with the necessary tools to overcome not only the presenting problem but the preparation for coping and mastering challenges in the future for a better quality of life. Kathyeli’s ability to connect with patients at a personable level and allowing them the space they need to heal is what differentiates her as a clinician. Kathyeli speaks Spanish and finds the following quote by Nido Qubein inspiring; “Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go; they merely determine where you start.”
