About Kelli Cryer, LCMHCKelli Cryer developed a passion for mental health during her time as a resident’s assistant in college, where she saw the challenges that individuals faced while trying to manage academic, professional, personal and family expectations. While in graduate school, she took interest in engaging with adolescents and emerging adults. Kelli has strived to practice an empathetic approach to problem solving, in addition to creating strategic and actionable plans that have worked well for those populations served; as evidenced by positive long-term changes in attitudes, beliefs and behaviors. She draws inspiration from the concept of “Sankofa” which teaches us that we must go back to our roots in order to move forward. As a therapist, Kelli understands the importance of reaching back and gathering the best of what our past has to teach us, so that we can achieve our full potential as we move forward while maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
