About Kenny Shore, LCSW
Mr. Shore believes in Thich Nhat Hanh’s saying that “the most precious gift we can offer others is our presence.” As a therapist, Kenny does exactly that, approaching his patients from a personal level, offering how he has overcome emotional obstacles in his own life in addition to sharing his clinical experience and training. He sees it as his job to help patients find inner strength and individual truth so that they can heal themselves, rather than becoming dependent on receiving advice. Mr. Shore was intuitively drawn to the mindcare profession because of his natural tendency toward compassion and his desire to help people feel heard and suffer less. Over the last twenty-five years, Kenny’s therapy practice has evolved into more of a healing practice. His goal is to help all patients feel a sense of warmth and comfort in sessions, so that this healing can occur. Mr. Shore draws from a number of therapeutic modalities, including the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma work, hypnotherapy for affecting positive change, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety and mindfulness to help people with letting go and focusing on the current moment. Additionally, Kenny is experienced with issues connected to grief and loss, having experienced his own share, and in his work is comfortable sharing the ways he overcame those difficulties.Education & Certifications
