About Kerri Shiflett, LCMHC
Kerri Shiflett grew up in Virginia and earned her Master’s degree at George Mason University. She has over twenty years of experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a variety of therapeutic settings. Kerri is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) practicing in North Carolina since December of 2007. Kerri’s passion is helping individuals and families cope with past experiences, re-build trust in themselves and others, and develop a feeling of psychological safety in all aspects of their lives. Kerri has extensive experience working with people of all ages who are withstanding traumatic experiences, grief, loss, and caregiver fatigue, including parental distress. She also believes in the power of animal-assisted therapy and conducts Emotional Support Animal evaluations. In addition to her therapy practice, Kerri is also a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator (CFMHE) and is available upon request to complete forensic evaluations for teens involved with the juvenile court, including testifying as an expert witness. All requests for forensic mental health evaluations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.Conditions Treated
