About Luke Hirst,

Luke Hirst (they/them/theirs) is a graduate student in the School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (unceded Tuscarora and Catawba land). They are currently providing pro bono therapy services as an intern at the Gender & Sexual Diversity Center at Mindpath Health. Luke strives to create a collaborative therapeutic space of warmth, compassion, and curiosity for people from a wide range of life experiences, identities, relationship styles, and family configurations. They believe that you are the expert on your own life and that joy and humor are critical parts of the healing process. As a white trans and queer person, they also recognize that the culture we live in can be one of the biggest sources of our mental health challenges and hope to create a space where people can build resilience and embrace their whole selves, especially BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, immigrant, and other marginalized folks.
