About Neri Barnea, MDDr. NeriBarnea is board-certified in psychiatry and board-eligible in neurology, geriatric psychiatry, and sleep medicine. Dr. Barnea is fascinated by the brain and nervous system and specializes in central and peripheral nerve dysfunction (brain disease) in adults. He treats patients who have suffered a traumatic brain injury and assists with feeding and eating disorders. Dr. Barnea completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital and his fellowship and geriatric psychiatry at the Douglas Gardens Home for the Aged. He also completed his residency in neurology at Tulane University’s Charity Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Barnea also treats opioid and alcohol use disorders, using Suboxone and other evidenced-based practice methods to achieve current and future sobriety, a return to health and wellness, and improved daily life.
