About Obianuju Rivera, PMHNP-BC
Uju is dual board-certified as a psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. She has over 12 years of experience working in underserved, rural communities with limited resource access. Uju helps patients with anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. Her empathetic, collaborative, and personal approach empowers patients to advocate in their treatment plans as she addresses biological, psychological, and social determinants that may impact their health. Uju's treatment modalities include motivational interviewing, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health and lifestyle management. She creates an environment built on safety and trust within each patient interaction as she honors your unique strengths. Uju is passionate about the destigmatization of mental illness and providing quality, evidence-based mental health care to address each patient’s unique needs and goals.
