About Regina Melendez Nagarajan, MD
Dr. Regina Nagarajan is passionate about creating a safe atmosphere for her patients. Dr. Nagarajan brings a holistic and collaborative approach looking at the biological, psychological, and social factors affecting their health to create multi-modal treatment plans that consider the whole person and their circumstances. She treats patients suffering from psychosis with long-acting injectables and traumatic brain injuries. Dr. Nagarajan completes bariatric surgery evaluations and provides LGBTQ+ care. She has prior experience treating patients with severe mental illness, managing crises, and leading multidisciplinary treatment teams. Dr. Nagarajan completed her psychiatry residency through the Psychiatry Residency Program at Yale University. She follows Maya Angelou’s wisdom, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Dr. Nagarajan also treats opioid and alcohol use disorders with Suboxone and other evidenced-based practice methods to achieve current and future sobriety, a return to health and wellness and improved daily life.
