About Shacolby "Colby" Dedmond, LPC
As a therapist, Colby’s approach is to build rapport and create a safe space where patients can authentically be themselves. She uses a patient-centered approach, tailoring techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual. Colby was born into a traditional Christian African American family in New Orleans. Growing up in a community that didn’t believe in seeking mental health support, she pursued counseling to show others, especially Black families and communities of color, that therapy is for everyone—regardless of background or appearance. Colby believes patients are the authors of their stories, and she is passionate about helping individuals break negative patterns.Education & Certifications
