About Walter Calvo, LCSW
Walter helps people overcome life challenges that cause distress and interfere with one’s quality of life. Common issues that people may seek help for include adjusting to change, managing conflict, reducing stress (occupational and other), improving relationships (couples / marital), and coping with grief and loss. Walter provides therapy to help people address acute trauma, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and personality disorders. Much of Walter’s experience as a trauma therapist comes from working with active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical responders.
The treatment techniques Walter utilizes include Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Walter is a psychotherapist, executive / leadership coach, and management consultant. He can provide Critical Incident Stress Management, and Organizational Stress Management consultation.
