Frequently Asked Questions
Mindpath College Health serves adults ages 18-64, with a focus on the college and university community. This includes undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and recent graduates.
If you are outside this age range or unsure whether College Health is the right fit, please complete our appointment request form. Our team can help connect you with another Mindpath Health provider who may better meet your needs.
Referral requirements vary by university, insurance plan, and state. We recommend checking with both your insurance provider and your student health center (if applicable) before scheduling services.
The first step on your journey begins with a full assessment. Your clinician will conduct a comprehensive review of your concerns, symptoms and additional factors to determine what type of treatment might be indicated. Together, you and your clinician will discuss all the treatment options and agree on the best course of action.
We plan our appointments to ensure our clinicians can dedicate the necessary time and attention to each patient. To help us maintain this level of care, it is essential that you honor your appointment by arriving on time or providing a cancellation notice at least two (2) full business days in advance of your scheduled appointment. Failure to cancel your appointment in this timeframe, missing your scheduled appointment, or arriving late to your appointment will result in a $100 fee.
The number and frequency of appointments are based on your individual treatment needs, goals, and clinician recommendations. Some insurance plans may place limits on covered services. Our team can help you understand your benefits and any potential coverage restrictions.
Unless you are a conservator or the patient is underage and you are their parent or legal guardian, the patient must be the one to engage the services of Mindpath College Health.
If you are concerned a friend or loved one is having a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For counseling and resources, call the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988 or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting HOME to 741741.
With Mindpath College Health we take measures to enure you are safe and in a space that will provide the best possible therapeutic experience. We require that all patients are in a private and addressable space during sessions (our clinicians will verify your location for your safety).
We follow all applicable Federal and State laws to protect patient information.
Many Mindpath College Health clinicians offer telehealth appointments. Patients must be physically located in a state where their clinician is licensed at the time of service and be in a private, addressable location for safety and confidentiality.
