About
Julie’s approach to patient care is collaborative, warm, and flexible. In her practice, she uses positivity, personal experiences with mental health, and a nonjudgemental, safe space for patients to celebrate small and large successes. Her techniques are eclectic in nature, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused treatment.
Julie has always been drawn to people and has witnessed the detrimental effect of mental health challenges on people in her personal life. She wants to be the support that can change the rest of someone’s life and is passionate about supporting other people who struggle with mental health challenges. She strives to uplift marginalized communities, including but not limited to, the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants and refugees, people living with disabilities, and racial/ethnic minorities.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys swimming in the ocean, reading, playing trivia with friends, and spending time with her cat, Leo.
