Alicia’s approach is warm, collaborative, and patient-centered, with the goal of helping people feel comfortable, understood, and supported throughout their care. She genuinely enjoys getting to know people as individuals and hearing their unique stories. She believes medications can be an important tool in mental health treatment but are only one part of a broader plan for helping people feel and function at their best. Whenever possible, Alicia incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, practical coping strategies, and clinical goal setting into sessions. Her goal is to work alongside each patient to develop a treatment plan that feels realistic, individualized, and aligned with their values and goals.
Alicia also brings a deep sense of empathy to her work, shaped in part by her own experiences navigating major life transitions, parenting challenges, postpartum adjustment, and the exhaustion that can come with caring for babies and young children. She understands how overwhelming these seasons of life can feel, and she strives to create a space where patients feel validated, supported, and never judged.
Those experiences helped her recognize how deeply mental health can affect every aspect of a person’s life, health, relationships, and overall well-being. Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the beautiful Southern California weather. She loves hiking, camping, going to the beach, and exploring all the region has to offer.
