Alisa utilizes an eclectic, holistic approach to therapy, drawing from play therapy, expressive arts therapy (for children and adults), person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes in meeting each client where they are and tailoring treatment to honor the whole person—mind, body, identity, and lived experience.

Prior to joining Mindpath, Alisa worked in residential treatment centers specializing in eating disorders and adolescent mental health, as well as within the adult county mental health system. These experiences shaped her trauma-informed, compassionate, and collaborative approach to care. Alisa believes that creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard without judgment is foundational to the therapeutic process.

Alisa was inspired to join the mental health field after witnessing how profoundly healing it can be to have a space where one is fully heard, fully accepted, and able to show up as their authentic self. This belief continues to guide her work and her commitment to creating meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Outside of therapy, Alisa enjoys creating art—such as collage and crochet—caring for her saltwater and freshwater aquariums, and spending cozy time with her cats and a cup of coffee.
