Yvonne takes a multifaceted, client-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration and individualized care. She has a particular interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sexual assault and trauma, life transitions, and sexual dysfunction. She also incorporates a bottom-up, somatic approach to help clients connect with and better understand the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences.
Yvonne has a variety of areas of interest and focus, including sexual wellness and intimacy. She is an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and strives to create an inclusive, nonjudgmental environment where every client feels seen, respected, and accepted.
Working in mental health is something she aspired to do from a young age. As a child, therapy helped Yvonne and her blended family navigate emotions, relationships, and communication. That experience had a lifelong impact and shaped how she understands emotional regulation, connection, and the importance of having a safe and supportive space to process life’s challenges.
Outside of work, she loves to stay creative as a way of nurturing her own well-being. She enjoys creating stained glass, painting, and dancing with friends. Yvonne also has two cats who may occasionally make an appearance during virtual sessions!
