Betsy (she/her) was drawn to a career in mental health through a deep commitment to helping individuals achieve greater well-being, inner peace, and healthy relationships with themselves and others. She particularly enjoys working with college students and understands the unique academic, emotional, and social pressures that often accompany this stage of life. Betsy is passionate about supporting students as they navigate the important developmental years of young adulthood, fostering growth, self-discovery, and resilience.
Betsy provides patient-centered, holistic, and humanistic care utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation. She believes that meaningful change occurs when clients feel supported, empowered, and connected to their values, strengths, and authentic selves. Betsy specializes in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, stress, trauma, and grief and loss, and has clinical expertise in supporting students experiencing academic challenges and self-esteem concerns. She provides a collaborative environment where clients can explore concerns, strengthen coping skills, cultivate self-compassion, and build confidence.
Outside of clinical work, Betsy enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets, as well as cooking, yoga, gardening, home design projects, and being in nature.
