Kat’s approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual. She works from a trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective, helping patients build insight while also developing practical tools for emotional regulation, self-compassion, and meaningful change. As an art therapist, Kat integrates both verbal and creative approaches, recognizing that not everything can, or needs to, be expressed through words alone. She often incorporates mindfulness, somatic awareness, and attachment-informed practices to help patients better understand their emotional patterns, nervous system responses, and relationships.
Kat was drawn to mental health work through a deep curiosity about people, creativity, and neurodivergence, and a desire to support patients as they navigate school, relationships, and life transitions with greater confidence and self-understanding. She’s especially passionate about working with neurodivergent children, teens, and adults, and helping them feel supported within systems that can often feel overwhelming or misaligned. She enjoys incorporating play and shared interests, including video games when appropriate, to help therapy feel engaging and accessible. Outside of work, she finds grounding through spending time in nature, drawing, playing video games, and caring for her cats, bringing that sense of curiosity, calm, and authenticity into her work.
