Kristen (she/her) discovered her passion for mental health during her senior year of college. Although she was pursuing a degree in Economics, she realized that her true interests lay in understanding people and supporting their well-being. She began gaining experience through psychology research and clinical work, which inspired her to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at UC Santa Barbara.
Kristen is passionate about working with college students, graduate students, and young adults. She enjoys working with individuals during these stages of life, helping them navigate relationships, academic and career pressures, identity development, executive functioning difficulties, anxiety, chronic worry, perfectionism, stress management, and personal growth.
Kristen believes that meaningful change begins with feeling safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. She is committed to creating a warm, welcoming environment where individuals can be themselves and openly explore their experiences, challenges, and goals. Kristen values a collaborative therapeutic relationship and tailors treatment to each person’s unique strengths, needs, and circumstances. Her approach is grounded in person-centered therapy and integrates techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral interventions.
Kristen has received specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Anxiety through UCSB, UNC Chapel Hill, and Stanford University.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys running, trying to keep up with her two kids, watching home renovation shows, baking, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
