About
Dr. Bruman believes the foundation of effective psychiatric care is a strong, trusting relationship where patients feel heard, respected, and supported. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, with a focus on understanding each patient’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. She uses evidence-based approaches to guide diagnosis and treatment and works proactively with patients to help them build insight, resilience, and meaningful progress over time. When working with children and adolescents, she believes strong family support and collaboration play an important role in treatment and aims to create a supportive space for both young patients and caregivers while helping children and teens feel heard, respected, and empowered in their own care.
Dr. Bruman was inspired to work in mental health after seeing how profoundly emotional and mental well-being impacts every aspect of a person’s life, including relationships, school, work, physical health, and daily functioning. Mental health conditions are common, highly treatable, and often overlooked or misunderstood, yet the right support and treatment can significantly improve someone’s quality of life and even change the trajectory of their future.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring new cultures and experiences, cheering on Texas A&M and Houston sports teams, and is an avid animal lover. Dr. Bruman has lived and trained in different parts of the US and abroad, allowing her to connect with individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
