Dr. Fagbemi takes a patient-centered, collaborative approach to care, focusing on building a strong therapeutic alliance grounded in trust, empathy, and respect. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel heard and supported. Her approach is flexible and tailored to each patient’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, strengths-based interventions, and mindfulness strategies. She emphasizes empowerment, helping patients develop insight, coping skills, and resilience while working toward their personal goals. Her strengths include active listening, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to meet patients where they are in their journey.
Dr. Fagbemi was inspired to work in mental health by a desire to support others through challenging experiences and to contribute to overall well-being and personal growth. She finds it meaningful to help individuals better understand themselves and navigate life’s complexities. Outside of work, she enjoys activities that promote balance and wellness, such as traveling, spending time with family, playing pickle ball, and watching football — go Aggies and go Cowboys! She values maintaining a healthy work-life balance and often encourages patients to explore hobbies and routines that bring them joy and stability.
