Dr. Michelle Ashley is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, and the thoughtful use of psychiatric medications when clinically appropriate. Dr. Ashley helps individuals navigate life challenges such as unresolved grief, relationship difficulties, and major transitions, including divorce, parenthood, career changes, and relocation. Dr. Ashley’s passion for mental health care began at UCLA, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and volunteered as a listener on UCLA’s Peer-Run Warm Line. She went on to complete her psychiatric training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, focusing on CBT and the psychopharmacologic treatment of a wide range of adult psychiatric conditions. Dr. Ashley spent many years serving the community through the Department of Mental Health, primarily at Edelman Westside Mental Health Center. There, she provided care to a diverse population, including Spanish-speaking patients. She eventually transitioned into private practice to deepen her integration of psychotherapy and medication management. Dr. Ashley currently practices at Mindpath Health, where she values the collaborative support and additional resources the group setting offers her patients. Outside work, Dr. Ashley enjoys hiking and spending quality time with family and friends.
