Sara (she/her) was drawn to mental health work through an interest in understanding each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and ways of navigating the world. She enjoys working with college and graduate students as they move through academic pressures, relationships, identity development, life transitions, and the challenges of emerging adulthood.
Sara uses a neurodiversity-affirming approach and strengths-based approach informed by a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and compassion focused therapy. Her work emphasizes collaboration, self-understanding, self-compassion and helping clients develop strategies that honor their individual needs rather than focusing solely on changing or “fixing” them. She has experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation concerns.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys baking, spending time with her pets, and exploring creative interests.
