About
Dr. Benington has practiced psychiatry for over 20 years and knows how important it is for patients to feel heard. Mental health isn’t just about prescribing medication; it’s about treating the whole person. Her goal is to address all the issues that affect a patient’s well-being and she recognizes there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Dr. Benington actively collaborates with her patients to help them set achievable and individualized goals, empowering them to heal and move forward in a healthy way.
Dr. Benington studied psychology in college, but science always had a special place in her heart. She decided to attend medical school to become a psychiatrist and has loved every minute of it. She comes from a family of artists and writers. Growing up surrounded by creative influences, Dr. Benington strongly believes in the power of creative outlets for health and healing. She also loves to draw, paint, and write, and is currently finishing her master’s degree in creative writing and hopes to publish a novel someday.
