Shalene offers a compassionate, solution-focused approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, internal family systems, prolonged exposure, and acceptance and commitment therapies.
While she has a special focus on perinatal mental health, Shalene is deeply committed to supporting adults of all ages through life’s many transitions. She creates a safe, welcoming space where individuals feel empowered, supported, and encouraged to grow into their best selves. With the belief that healing is possible at any stage of life, she helps patients reconnect with a sense of worth, purpose, and belonging.
Originally from Kansas, Shalene met her husband during a tornado cleanup in her hometown more than 35 years ago. In her free time, she enjoys painting, hiking, and spending time with her grandchildren.
