Susan Reeder (she/her) is a person-centered therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families who are drawn to therapy. She thrives to help others navigate life challenges and make a positive impact on their future. Susan is passionate about helping college students and young adults as they navigate life, optimize their mental health, and develop tools and skills to carry them through their lifetime.
Susan’s strengths include being genuine, compassionate, accepting, and meeting patients where they are in therapy sessions. Susan uses cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, acceptance commitment, person centered, emotionally focused, Gottman, and narrative therapies. She has experience working with people experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, bereavement, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, addiction, and body image issues. Her experience includes working with people who are first-generation students, graduate students, youth with unstable housing, adoption, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, former foster youth, people who have been affected by addiction, and veterans.
In her free time Susan enjoys traveling (including four trips to Ethiopia where her children are from), walking and running, hiking, going to the beach with her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
