Yarima has over 15 years’ experience working with various ages and populations. She offers a compassionate approach, offering a safe and judgement-free environment. She begins with a person-centered and strengths-based approach and uses other therapeutic modalities, such as somatic/movement therapy, Polyvagal Systems theory, and CBT tools.
Yarima has always had a desire and passion for mental health and helping others. She’s been described by others as easy and safe to talk to, and her goal is for patients to feel comfortable while in session with her. She feels privileged to be part of the therapeutic journey as patients discover their inner strength and sense of self. She is bilingual (English and Spanish) and bicultural. Outside of work, her interests include music, dance, movement, family nature, mindfulness, and applying a sense of humor as much as possible.
