Daniel’s approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and grounded in a biopsychosocial understanding of mental health. His goal is to develop treatment plans that are individualized, practical, and aligned with the patient’s values and goals. One of his strengths is building a strong therapeutic alliance while maintaining a structured, clinically-sound approach to treatment. Overall, his guiding philosophy is to help patients achieve meaningful improvement in their quality of life.
Daniel was drawn to mental health through an early interest in understanding the mind and the factors that influence wellbeing. Working as a psychiatric nurse inspired him to pursue advanced training to take a more active role in assessment, treatment planning, and long-term care. His approach to mental health is not only shaped by clinical training, but also an interest in mindfulness and contemplative practice. Daniel has studied Buddhist philosophy and psychology and is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, often incorporating mindfulness-informed psychoeducation and skills into his practice.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors, especially activities that help him stay grounded and balanced, and that reinforce the belief that mental health is closely connected to the ways we care for our bodies, minds, and relationships.
