Everyone deserves a space to be fully seen and accepted without judgement. Jess approaches therapy with a belief in her patients as the experts in their own lives, viewing the work done in counseling as a collaborative process built upon safety, trust, and authenticity between patient and therapist. Jess’ therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and mindful of how different aspects of identity and cultural backgrounds intersect and inform our experiences. She draws from a variety of evidence-based frameworks including cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT, & ACT), solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy to help her patients explore their own stories, build upon their strengths, and discover new ways of moving toward their goals. Jess has experience supporting individuals with a variety of mental health concerns, and her passion areas include working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent individuals, healing from religious trauma, and young adults navigating the stress of life transitions.
Jess believes it is a true privilege to walk alongside her patients, facing adversity together and working toward an enriching and meaningful life. Both personally and professionally, she believes in the importance of finding joy in the little things. Outside of work, Jess enjoys spending her time running, paddleboarding, doing puzzles, and watching movies with her wife and two cats.
