About
Michael has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and has dedicated his career to helping individuals, couples, and families cultivate deeper self-awareness, healing, and a genuine love for life. Michael’s therapeutic approach is both evidenced-based and holistic, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Jungian Psychology, and other depth-orientated modalities. Michael believes that lasting transformation occurs when the mind, body, spirit, and emotions are addressed as interconnected aspects of the human experience. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, Michael incorporated complementary healing practices such as Yoga Therapy, Music Therapy, Meditation, Mindfulness, and other integrative approaches designed to promote emotional resilience, nervous system regulation, and personal growth.
Michael has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQIA+ community, artists and musicians, as well as the senior population. Michael’s compassionate and affirming style creates a safe and supportive environment where patients can explore their inner world and reconnect with their innate capacity for healing. Michael is a certified hypnotherapist, certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Instructor, and published singer-songwriter musician. In addition, Michael is also a dedicated naturalist whose research explores the relationship between nature, the nervous system, and psychological well-being and is particularly interested in the therapeutic effects of the ocean and marine life on trauma recovery, stress reduction, and overall mental health.
