Dr. Rosewater’s goal as a psychiatrist is to help every individual become the happiest version of themself. First and foremost, he strives to be empathetic and get to know his patients well. He carefully constructs an accurate portrayal of what is happening clinically, with a goal of working toward a treatment plan that is evidence-based, mutually agreed upon, and makes his patients feel comfortable. Dr. Rosewater strongly supports LGBTQ+ related topics, and in general on continuously creating a safe space and being open to anything without judgement.
Dr. Rosewater decided to pursue psychiatry to truly help people. Growing up, his family members dealt with mental health and substance use disorders, and largely due to stigma, were frequently misunderstood by family and friends. While that stigma has improved over time, it still persists, and Dr. Rosewater endeavors to be mindful of this in his work.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing and listening to music, doing outdoor activities like hiking and biking, and spending time with friends and family, especially over a good meal.
