About
Ana’s approach to therapy is to walk side-by-side with patients through their mental health journey. She believes it’s extremely important that patients are an active participant in their treatment in order to achieve their goals. Depending on the patient’s needs, she may use different approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Brainspotting, Trauma-Informed Therapy, and/or Interpersonal Therapy. Throughout each session, patients can expect supportive guidance, reflective listening, direct communication, and introduction of different or challenging perspectives.
After being a social worker for several years and seeing the importance of mental health, she became motivated to move her work into a therapeutic setting. She noticed the lack of mental health support available, especially for the BIPOC population. As a therapist, she not only brings professional experience, but also lived experiences to her sessions, which helps her connect with patients.
Outside of work, Ana enjoys healthy living and the outdoors, and likes to go hiking and camping. However, she admits she’s no stranger to binge-watching shows as another form of self-care. Go Dodgers!
