Alexis (she/her) became interested in psychology and therapy after receiving her own support during her undergraduate studies. This experience provided her with a first-hand understanding of how important access to diverse providers and quality care are to communities. Furthermore, Alexis enjoys supporting her clients through transitional periods, especially through academics.
Alexis uses psychodynamic and relational approaches as her foundation because she believes that the therapeutic relationship, seeing and validating her clients, providing a safe and trusting container for the healing to occur. She sees her clients as unique masterpieces and is fortunate to explore how their experiences shape them to be. Alexis also equips her clients with tools from DBT, CBT, and CPT. She works with adults experiencing anxiety, insomnia, depression, living with ADHD, trauma, family dynamics, life transitions, and post-partum mood disorders.
When Alexis is off the clock, she is on her way to the next festival or concert, practicing ukelele or reading a book with her two Flemish bunnies, Bentley and Laufey.
