Dr. Blumenfeld utilizes the biopsychosocial model of psychiatry to care for his patients in a holistic manner, with particular attention to the nuances that make us all unique. He seeks to gain a deep understanding of psychological conflicts in order to guide effective treatment.
Dr. Blumenfeld was drawn to psychiatry for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. He values balance, curiosity, and lifelong learning, and brings those same principles into his work with patients. Outside of work, Dr. Blumenfeld enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and Cookie, their Corgi. He also enjoys eating spicy food, exploring the central coast, and finding opportunities to be outdoors. Fun fact: he once hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and summited an alp in Switzerland on his honeymoon.
