See more cliniciansAbout
Dr. Quinby embodies a biopsychosocial approach in his work with patients, learning their whole stories and how they conceptualize themselves and their places of meaning within the world so that he can best shepherd them toward a place of mental and emotional healing and well-being. Using a psychotherapeutic approach that balances humility with confidence, his intent is to ensure patients know they are safe being human during their sessions. His hope is to not only provide medical evaluation and treatment that accurately and concisely addresses the patient’s needs, but also a therapeutic environment whereby patients can recognize their true potential as people so they can achieve long-term internal peace and well-being.
Dr. Quinby feels fortunate and blessed enough to find himself in a profession where his desire to care for the well-being of others has intersected with a need that the world has, and this is ultimately what led him to providing mental health care. Dr. Quinby served in the USAF for eight years and supports sports teams throughout the country (go Chiefs, Jayhawks, Blues, and STL Cardinals!). He is an avid traveler, having gone to most states and several foreign countries. His goal is to step foot on every continent.
