About Carrie Moore, MSW, LCSW
Carrie provides an empathetic, non-judgmental, safe, and supportive atmosphere where her patients can process their experiences to move forward in a productive and effective way. Her therapeutic approach includes helping patients identify and highlight their strengths to process trauma and life events, which also allows the opportunity to focus on future needs and outcomes. Carrie primarily uses acceptance and commitment therapy, a form of behavior and cognitive therapy aimed at assisting people in living a more rich and meaningful life by working toward the acceptance of that which is out of personal control and committing to actions that improve and enrich the quality of life that person wants to lead. She also utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy. She recognizes that her patient is an expert in their own life and experiences and invites them to explore what has led them up to this point, and what direction they would like their life to go.
