About Erisa M Preston, PSYD
Dr. Erisa Preston is Mindpath Health’s regional psychotherapy director for Southern California. Dr. Preston has been practicing psychotherapy since 2004. She provides therapy utilizing collaborative, eclectic, holistic, non-judgmental, nurturing, patient-centered, and strength-based approaches. Dr. Preston received special training in women’s issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma at the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, she was the executive chair of the Clothesline Project, a national psychoeducational group that seeks to increase awareness of sexual abuse and provide healing and support to abuse survivors.
While at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP-LA), Dr. Preston completed internships with the Center for Healthy Aging, the Department of Children and Family Services (foster care unit), and Mount Saint Mary’s University. She completed her post-doctoral internship at Complete Family Services. Dr. Preston received additional training in chronic pain management, infertility, and psychological assessment. Prior to working in private practice, she provided in-home, school-based, and community interventions for children and their families through the Regional Center. Dr. Preston has experience supervising interns, facilitating peer consultation and group supervision hours, and providing in-depth psychodiagnostic evaluations. She believes therapy can help people become more complete and authentic versions of themselves.
