About Erisa Preston, PsyD
Dr. Erisa Preston is Mindpath Health’s regional psychotherapy director for Southern California. She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2004. Dr. Preston believes therapy can help people become more complete and authentic versions of themselves. She provides collaborative, eclectic, holistic, non-judgmental, nurturing, patient-centered, strength-based therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy. She also provides in-home, school-based, and community interventions for children and their families.
Dr. Preston received special training in women’s issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and trauma at the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, she was the executive chair of the Clothesline Project, a national psychoeducational group that seeks to increase awareness of sexual abuse and provide healing and support to abuse survivors. Dr. Preston completed her post-doctoral internship at Complete Family Services. She received training in chronic pain management, infertility, and psychological assessment. Dr. Preston has experience supervising interns, facilitating peer consultation and group supervision hours, and providing in-depth psychodiagnostic evaluations.
