About Jasmine Kaur, MD
Dr. Jasmine Kaur is board-certified in child, adolescent, and general psychiatry and specializes in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Kaur strives to deliver knowledgeable and passionate care. She works to understand the neurobiology of mental illnessand treats according to a patient’s individual situation, needs, and desires. Dr. Kaur uses the biopsychosocial model in diagnosis and treatment. This approach integrates biological, psychological, and socio-environmental factors that influence an individual's overall well-being. For children and adolescents, she works closely to engage the family because they have a powerful and foundational influence on the child's life. Dr. Kaur completed her residency in psychiatry at University of Kansas School of Medicine and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi and enjoys writing poetry and singing.Education & Certifications
