About Monisha Konana, MD
Dr. Monisha Konana is a board-certified psychiatrist and works with young adults who’ve experienced bullying, negative group environments, or stressful life changes. Dr. Konana also treats women's reproductive mental health conditions. She became interested in women’s health after training at the Women's Pavillion. Here, she helped women cope with emotional distress involving infertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Dr. Konana utilizes current evidence-based medicine to construct holistic treatment plans. She works to educate her patients on their diagnoses and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. She believes in using the power of motivational interviewing, elements of psychotherapy, and the science of psychopharmacology. Dr. Konana completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She has been a member of two bands and loves to sing and play the guitar and keyboard.Education & Certifications
