About Arthur Rosengarten, Ph.D.Dr. Arthur Rosengarten is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 40 years of experience as a therapist. He works with a wide range of problems and issues. His approach is very friendly but also focused and highly interactive, with the psychological places you may need help with or wish to explore more deeply. For patients experiencing anxiety and depression, Dr. Rosengarten offers CBT Plus—a blend of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness meditation, as well as working with positive imagery and affirmations. He is also highly trained in addiction and recovery issues, subscribes to the 12 Step model, but combines this with the open exchange and exploration of talk therapy that may not be fully satisfied in AA meetings, etc. Philosophically, Dr. Rosengarten comes from a Jungian/Transpersonal perspective and values the psychospiritual dimension through self-reflection and individuation. He has written four books on this subject which explore the therapeutic value of living symbols and tools of active imagination. He also is an expert group facilitator and offers groups focused on relationships, recovery, and other matters. Dr. Rosengarten typically finishes each session by asking if you still have any questions and is happy to answer them at the close of the session if there is time.
