About Laura Compton, PMHNPLaura is board-certified with over a decade of experience working with patients with complex acute and chronic mental health needs. She is committed to creating a supportive, affirming, and empowering environment for clients of all sizes, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, faiths, ages, and abilities. Laura combines science and evidence-based diagnostic and treatment strategies with the recovery model of care. She views the client as a unique person rather than a constellation of symptoms and helps clients achieve their goals through collaborative decision-making and shared responsibility. Laura is a United States Air Force veteran and a clinical instructor at California State University, East Bay’s School of Nursing.
